HIDDEN FIGURES Is a beautiful biopic directed by Theodore Melfi and written by Melfi and Allison Schroeder. This movie is based on book named "HIDDEN FIGURES" written by "Margot Lee Shetterly" this movie is a kind of motivation and inspiration for everyone. It convey's the story of three AFRICAN-AMERICAN women who work for NASA and try to send an astronaut beyond earth's limit. This movie shows RACISM, STRUGGLE, INSPIRATION and much more which will surely blow up your mind. This movie explain us the struggle of those three ladies, who achieve respect and honour from those who think black people are just garbage pickers.

HIDDEN FIGURES has an incredible rating on IMDB i.e 7.8/10, 93% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes and its Metacritic score is 74%. Hidden figures was distributed by 20th century fox. The overall budget of this movie was $25 million where as its collection on box office was $236 million. It was released on December 10 2016 (SVA theatre) and December 25 2016 (USA).

Before our Explaination let's watch a short "OFFICIAL TRAILER" of the movie.
Plots explained....
The movie starts from 1961 (Hampton, Virginia), it was the time when discrimination between black and white coloured skin was very high In AMERICA. This was the time when second World War was just ended a few year ago, and now many countries were willing to leave earth and search for a new planet for settlement and development which leads to space exploration programme.
In the first plot of movie three ladies were shown, all of them were AFRICAN-AMERICAN ladies who were driving their car on highway and suddenly their car got deteriorate, at the same time they saw a police car coming near them and stopped. The police men arrive and asked for their id cards, ladies got scared because they were Africans. At that time Africans who live in America had no self respect, the were put into jail with/without any crime. According to their id's those ladies were working for NASA. So police man does not behave strictly, Infact he helps them because it was the time when RUSSIA was also engaged in similar projects on space exploration. But America wanted to lead And that's why a lot of work was to be done by NASA, The three ladies who were interrogated by the police were working for NASA as a human calculaters, because it was the time period where computer software were not soo advanced to solve mathematical questions with accurate answers, so NASA used to hire employees for calculating difficult mathematical formulas.
These three ladies were named as Katharine Johnson, she was master in analytical geometry and mathematics, other lady was Mary jackson, Mary wants to become an engineer and name of the third lady was Dorothy vaughan she was the surpervisor of calculating staff. At the same time in movie it is shown that every NASA scientist was working hard to send space shuttle beyond Earth's orbit.
On the other hand Russia successfully done this work before America infact Russia was also successful to send one of his astronaut beyond Earth's Orbit on 12 April 1961, the astronaut was "YURI GAGARIN", now America was also curious to send it's astronauts in space. For this they tried alot but they failed each and every time.
Al Harrison who was the director of NASA, who wants America to land space ship on moon before Russia but for this work he needs an employee master in analytical geometry. For this purpose he changed 12 employee in 12 months, but no success. So last option for this job was Katherine Johnson, as she was also master in analytical geometry and mathematics, but due to it's black colour she was underestimated.
Before her, department of analytical geometry and mathematics was never been handled by any black person. So as soon as she entered in her department she was disappointed to see that each and every staff member was treating her like a garbage picker. But when she said that "she is appointed to solve analytical geometry and mathematical problems every one was shocked, because before here any african person was not entered in that department, so she was discriminated. Other employees does not share or provide fully detailed information with her, she was not allowed to have coffee from the kettle from which white coloured people used to drink, her washroom was also 800 meters away from the place she use to work. But she was very smart in her work she solved a complicated problem without full information, Al Harrison when knew that she was discriminated and not treated properly by her colleagues, he became angry and said "NASA does not discriminate, NASA only appericiate skills" Katherine was then provided with every information regarding the project and treated properly by her colleagues
Now story moves towards Marry who is an engineer and her work was to make a space shuttle's capsule in which an astronaut is going to send beyond earth's orbit, but the issue was that the team has to make a capsule completely heat resistance, so when the shuttle will be entering back into earths orbit it does not catch fire. Every engineer in the team got failed in this process but as Marry saw the capsules design she instantly knew what was the issue and Marry modifies the capsules, now the capsule was ready and completely safe which can go beyond earth's orbit and return without any damage. Everyone including the head of NASA appreciated marry for her intelligence and hard work.
Now the plot changes and moves towards Dorothy who was a supervisor and she came to know that NASA is going to bring IBM machine, which is going to convey all mathematical problems for NASA, Dorothy knew if this machine came then all of us who is working as human calculater will be fired. Dorothy don't want this to be happen, she knew that the machine will come, but she also knew that there is no one at NASA in today's date who can operate IBM machines so she started learning about "how to operate IBM machine" for this purpose she stolen some books from NASA's library as she was black coloured, so she was not allowed to take or read books from library, she stolen books and started learning and also she started teaching her team members who were also black coloured women so that she can safeguard their jobs too. Within some time she learned everything about IBM machines and now she and her team was the only member in NASA who can operate IBM machines.
Long after, one day IBM machines batch came in NASA, engineer working on IBM can't even start that machine, operating it was an another question, engineer's took a break and went out of the room where IBM Machines were kept, when engineer left Dorothy entered as she knew how to operate IBM machines she started one of the machine, at the time suddenly those engineer returned and were shocked to see that Dorothy was abled to start as well as operate IBM machines. This information spreaded like forest fire and NASA's head knew about it, as there was no one at NASA to operate IBM machines the head appointed Dorothy for operating those machines but Dorothy demanded that her team members who were also black coloured Should also appointed for operating machines as Dorothy taught every one regarding operating those machines, Now Dorothy and her team was working on IBM and Dorothy was the one who safe guarded her as well as her team members job.
Now again the plot changes and shows us the problem rise for launching, space shuttel was ready, but to send it beyond earths orbit the mathematics, trajectory, projectiles, and thrust should be perfect, without perfection the Space shuttle will be crashed or revolve around earths orbit for ever. Katherine was appointed to make calculations with accurate answers so that the Space shuttel can launched, but Katherine was facing problems because NASA was changing launching time and location again and again because of that her all efforts were wasted.
NASA had selected an astronaut JOHN GLENN who was the first person from America going to go beyond earth's orbit. But the issue was to bring space shuttel back to earth for which they named it "GO NO GO" they need accurate speed and thrust and convert circular rotation into semi-circle if it not succeeded the whole mission will fail. NASA trusted Katherine for this calculation because she had proved it to them, calculation work was alloted to Katherine  Finally, all the calculations were made and astronaut John Glenn was in the capsule, NASA was ready for the launch, their launch was to be made according to the calculations of Katherine. Space shuttel named FRENCHIP 7 was launched and John Glenn was in the Space, John Glenn became the first astronaut from America to do this, the day was 28th February 1962. The Space shuttel was successfully lunched and returned back to earth. For this mission Katherine was honoured because without her the mission was unable to complete. Katherine then was permenantely appointed for calculations for NASA, Katherine was also the important person for successful launch of apolo mission/moon mission and many other mission by NASA. In the year 2016 Katherine was honoured by NASA, at the age of 97 Katherine was awarded with presidential award of freedom and celebrated her 56th anniversary with Jim Johnson.
